inconsolable

Bug is. And has been all. Weekend. Long. I think she's teething again, but even when I'm holding her she's screaming her poor little head off. I don't know how to make her feel better, and am really struggling right now with the fact that this is one of those times that I cant make her feel better. Sometimes I can get her to relax on my chest, like now, but it takes a while and doesn't last long. My poor buggie. Needless to say, I'm very tired, and am saddened by the thought that I'm looking forward to work tomorrow for a reprieve. K isn't home until the 15 or so. Then I feel bad for complaining, there are so many people who would give the world to have this problem. I know, I was one of them.

Sorry for typos, I'm posting from my cell.

  1. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time...and having to do it on your own. Hopefully Bug feels better soon and you can get some rest!

  2. teething is such a bummer. did you try giving her a little ibuprofen or acetaminophen? i like to use ibuprfen since it's an ant-inflammatory and acetaminophen never helps when i'm in pain. they are taking infants ibuprofen off the market pretty soon though, i think too many give their kids too much or something, i don't remember the reason, but it also lasts longer than acetaminophen, so if you only want to use it once a day and then use acetaminophen, i'd give the ibuprofen at bedtime.

  3. Fynnie got her sixth tooth in last night (that bugger's been hanging around for a month!). For some reason she was having a harder time this afternoon and evening than she did before the tooth popped through. It's rough, and hard for the mama, too. That you understand how lucky you are to have this problem doesn't mean it's should magically not be a problem.
